About Us
Before I tell your story, here's mine.

MATT PEARL
Founder, Pearl Impact Media
My work is driven by two guideposts:
Meaningful and memorable.
As a journalist for 20+ years, locally and nationally, I pushed to report about issues the media often overlooks:
Housing. Education. Health care. The environment. Social justice. And many more.
I worked as a reporter at local news stations in Sioux City, Iowa, Buffalo, N.Y., and Atlanta. I worked as a national correspondent with Scripps News. Along the way, I covered the Olympics three times in person, wrote a how-to book on solo video journalism, and won dozens of regional and national awards.
But what moved me most was telling stories about those overlooked issues - and the ones working to solve them.
Now I want to work with you directly.
I want to tell your stories in ways that will captivate users, donors, and everyone in between. I want to spotlight your work and those who make it special, with empathy, humanity, and dignity.
Let's get together.

The expertise and ethics that guided me as a journalist drive my approach to nonprofit video storytelling - an approach that moves people to act.
Our process is built on partnership.
When you invest in video, you want to know it will deliver.
That's because if done right, video can be your signature storytelling asset.
Your home page. Email blasts. Donor check-ins. Grant proposals. Fundraising campaigns. Major events.
My clients say they seek out ways to use the videos we create. That's what you should expect from a videographer: someone as invested in the project as you are, with the skills to make it shine.
Here's how we make sure we meet the moment:
Let's get started.
